Homeschool Day

Homeschool Day Registration Information:

During the school year, we will be welcoming homeschool groups to reserve and pay for their visit in advance ($15 per chaperone, $10 per child; there is no membership discount available for this program).

To enhance the experience of all of our visitors, we are limiting ticket sales, so we ask that each group attend only one Homeschool Day per exhibition.

Registrants must purchase tickets* in advance at our website; tickets for each event will go on sale two weeks ahead of the event. Please carefully consider the date options before you register, as all sales are final and we are unable to refund any ticket sales for this special program. On each date, doors will be open for registrants to check in using their pre-purchased tickets from 10 am - 12 pm at the front desk. Late arrival tickets will NOT be honored.

We are excited to offer the purchase of our Transportation STEM take-home activity set made just for our Homeschool Day families. We ask that each family purchase only one set, which contains the materials for multiple activities, some of which can be done as a team and some which can be done for up to 4 individuals.

Kits will be available at the front desk for pick up on arrival at Homeschool Day.

Discovery Center Field Trips 2026

Thank you for registering for your group's field trip! Please be certain to select the correct payment amount which corresponds to the total from your confirmation email

As a reminder, homeschool groups should NOT use this link to sign up. Please register for our Homeschool Day offerings.

We ask that you do your best arrive on time for your field trip. We keep a tight schedule and if you arrive late, it will cut into your designated field trip time. Our educators will meet you outside at the designated start time for your visit, so if you arrive early, you can wait on the bus or play at Julia Davis Park just across the bridge.

As you prepare for your visit, feel free to learn more about our current exhibition offerings, and browse our educational resources. Be sure to review the chaperone guide/map and share it with your chaperones prior to the field trip.
